Sunday is the last day of the first Plein Air Art Festival, an invitation-only event where artists created, sold and exhibited works of art all weekend long in the Plein Air style, that is, at the ‘outside.

The festival concludes with a competition on Sunday, July 17, judged by master plein-air painter Don Yang and members of the community. (Yang also held a class for the community on Saturday July 16 on painting.)

The festival is thanks to Evanston Made and the Town of Evanston. Today there will be an art sale and a judging:

  • July 17, 1 – 3 p.m. Outdoor artist exhibit and art sale at Fountain Square in downtown Evanston.
  • July 17, 3-5 p.m., Judging of the festival, award ceremony and reception of artists, at Fountain Square in downtown Evanston.
