Walk to the Spring Bazaar

Kittie Corral, a local non-profit animal shelter, sponsors a spring bazaar. The Lake Wimauma Convention Center, located at 5408 SR 674 in Wimauma, is hosting the ‘March into Spring Bazaar’ on April 23, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This is a free family event for all ages. There will be over 100 local, family and operated vendors including animal rescues, food, drink, arts and crafts, games and raffles. Come support local businesses and the local charity Kittie Corral.

Durant Athletic Booster Club General Assembly

The Durant High School Athletic Booster Club will hold its general meeting on Monday, May 9 at 7 p.m. at the high school media library. He is looking for new board members for the new school year.

Drag Queen Bingo Fundraiser for Autism

Experienced Autism Alliance is hosting a drag queen bingo event to raise money for the programs it offers for families with children and adults with autism.

The event will take place at Center Place Fine Arts & Civic Association, located at 619 Vonderburg Dr., Ste. B in Brandon, Thursday, April 28 from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets to the event are $40 and include 10 bingo games, bites, wine or seltzer, and a performance by Freya.

Mother’s Day Gift Fair to Support Hope for Her

Hope for Her is a safe place where women in crisis and trauma find the strength, skills and support they need to rebuild their best lives. He works with women to restore their confidence and self-esteem, remove barriers to safety and survival, and rebuild essential life skills to thrive.

Twin Lakes of Brandon is hosting a Mother’s Day Charity Giveaway Fair in support of Hope for Her on Sunday, April 30 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Zeina Park, located at 3054 Blvd. Lake Michaela. in Valrico. There will be dozens of unique gifts for mom.

Brandon Bunco Junior Women’s Club GFWC

The GFWC Brandon Junior Woman’s Club is hosting a bunco fundraiser on Thursday, May 12 starting at 6 p.m. at The Bridges, located at 11202 Dewhurst Dr. in Riverview. Bring a friend and enjoy a fun night with refreshments, raffle baskets, a 50/50 draw and prizes.

Community dances with DJ Ken Miller

DJ Ken Miller will host a new Wednesday morning dance at the Sadye Gibbs Martin Community Center, located at 302 S. Maryland Ave. in Plant City, 10 a.m. to noon. It will play a fun and diverse range of music to suit everyone, including Country, Ballroom, R&B, Rock ‘n’ Roll, Latin, Line Dancing and more.
