The Town of Richardson has announced the full roster of musical artists for the annual Cottonwood Art Festival May 7-8.
The festival, which is run by the city, is a juried art exhibition featuring work from the nation’s top visual artists and takes place the first full weekend in May and October each year. May’s featured artist will be Canadian multimedia artist Marjolyn van der Hart.
Participation is free all weekend. The festival takes place at Cottonwood Park, 1321 W. Belt Line Road in Richardson.
Cottonwood will offer music on two stages in a variety of genres. The schedule of performances in May is as follows:
Cupcake Vineyards Courtyard Main Stage: Erik Carrizales (10 a.m.), Matthew Fiock (11:45 a.m.), The Shepherds (1:30 p.m.), Retrophonics (3:30 p.m.) and Maylee Thomas Band (5:30 p.m.)
Acoustic stage: Jeff Groce (11 a.m.), Zech Lumpkin (1 p.m.) and Vudu Childe (3 p.m.)
Cupcake Vineyards Courtyard Main Stage: Kelly Nygren (10 a.m.), Kirk Thurmond (11:45 a.m.), Warehouse/A Dave Matthews Tribute Band (1:30 p.m.) and Midnight Soul (3:30 p.m.)
Acoustic stage: Christopher Wright (11 a.m.), Ariana Ortiz (1 p.m.) and Alex Lease (3 p.m.)
Additionally, live art artist Amy Burkman will perform on the main stage at Cupcake Vineyards Courtyard each day at 11:30 a.m. and 3:15 p.m.
