POLSON — The 51st Annual Sandpiper Art Festival will take place August 13 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the lawn of the Lake County Courthouse in downtown Polson, Montana.

This is Flathead Valley’s favorite one-day art festival, as it features many Montana artists and fun events. Live music will play all day, and the food court and annual car show are a block away.

The festival is a great opportunity for people to view and buy original regional arts and crafts from a wide range of mediums including painting, photography, sculpture and mixed media . Henrietta Wolf Black, recent Sandpiper Art Gallery Fellow and student at Salish Kootenai College, will have a tent displaying her paintings. His ledger art was featured in the Fall 2020 Tribal College Journal of American Indian Higher Education magazine.

Applications are still being accepted until August 1 to sell works at the fair. The show is submitted to a jury, but no prize is awarded. For more information on the application process, see the link on the Sandpiper Art Gallery website: https://www.sandpiperartgallery.com/festivals.
