Oblivion Access was already shaping up to be one of the most banger festivals of the year – sets from Converge, Carcass, the Locust, Youth of Today, Autopsy and over 60 other incredible bands spanning metal, punk, rap, shoegaze, electronic and experimental music. Now, the Austin event which runs May 12-15 at many venues across the city just got even better. Oblivion Access, which Revolver is co-sponsor, announced that they had added a comedy show, record store, art gallery and a whole other musical event to the weekend’s packed schedule.

On Thursday, May 12, our friends from hard times will present a stacked comedy show – reserved exclusively for festival badge holders – in Valhalla with comedian Eddie Pepitone and co-hosted by Hard Times co-founder Bill Conaway. The next evening at the same place, BrooklynVegan will host a music showcase featuring performances by Thou, -(16)-, Dorthia Cottrell, Jarhead Fertilizer, Body Void and Vile Creature, for which you can get tickets here.

Additionally, Oblivion Access will now also feature a four-day pop-up poster exhibit showcasing the work of Jacob Bannon, Thomas Hooper and Keenan Bouchard, presented by Night Swim Project and featuring live art creation and screen printing all days there. And last but not least, we will be hosting our very own pop-up record store which will feature music, merchandise and more from many artists, including those performing at the festival.
