International children’s song contest kicks off at Slavianski bazaar in Vitebsk

VITEBSK, July 13 (BelTA) — The International Children’s Song Contest, along with exhibitions, a press conference and other events will be held on the eve of the official launch of the 31st International Festival of Arts Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk, BelTA learned from the festival management.

The first competition of the International Children’s Song Contest will be the highlight of the festival program on July 13. This year, the singing competition celebrates its 20th anniversary. Participants will perform a song in their native language. The general concept of the junior contest will be to create a new fairy tale by everyone involved in the contest.

On the eve of the inauguration, creativity will fill the air in the host city Vitebsk. Visitors will be able to take part in the “Space of Belarus” event and color small pictures dedicated to Belarusian artists in front of the Vitebsk Concert Hall. The Art Museum is organizing an exhibition of Flemish and Dutch graphics. The Ilya Repin Zdravnevo Museum Estate presents the exhibition “Leo Tolstoy through the eyes of Ilya Repin”. The Dukhovskoy Kruglik showroom invites the public to unravel the mysteries and metamorphoses of Aleksandr Bogdanovsky’s graphic design.

Italian musician Mario Stefano Pietrodarchi and participants of the new festival project Theater Laboratory will answer sensitive questions from journalists at press conferences.

A circus show will take place on the stage of the Summer Amphitheater. Spectators will witness a go-go parade and breathtaking gravity-defying stunts.

The 31st edition of the Slavianski Bazaar International Arts Festival in Vitebsk will take place from July 13 to 18. The inauguration will take place on July 14 and the final concert is scheduled for July 17. The forum will bring together more than 5,000 participants.
